question on copying wage info to next year?

Hi,

I have just run a federal review on my online return.  The review picked up a couple of things I needed to address.  One of which is a question I don't remember being asked before.  Why is TT asking me  "Would you like us to copy your current year wage information to next year?"   I dont understand the purpose of this question.   thank you Richard

I should add, using TT's AI chat it suggested the purpose was to streamline next year's returns.  However, if I press NO to transfer it forces you to go through loads of pages where it asks you to manually submit the same info you stated you did not want to automatically transfer.  Anyone else come across this?
