Qualifying Dependent

My fiance is appealing his Disability denial & has not worked for about 2 yrs. He lives with me I pay for everything (his meds, dr bills, Rent etc) except for the money he puts toward food with his food stamps once a month. Does he qualify as a dependent?

Qualifying Dependent

Yes. Since you stated he meets the the requirements below.

  1. Lived with you all year.
  2. Cannot be the qualifying child of anyone else.
  3. Gross income for the year must be less than $4,050.
  4. You must have provided more than half of his total support during the calendar year.
