QBI wksht for previously disallowed losses.

i got this error message repeatedly. what does it look for? no matter what i put in there, it won't work and it doesn't allow me to file without fixing it.

this is ridiculous

Can you provide more details about your taxes?  Do you have rental income you are claiming this year?  Do you have income?  The more details you provide, the more I can help

Hi MJMann,

Thanks for offering the help. I do have rental income. this happened with the schedule E worksheet of a few rentals. 

It says "link to QBI wksht should be linked to an independent copy of QBI worksheet with no other activities linked to it.

and below that message is the screen of the worksheet with box H 3d as the issue. 

I don't know what it asked for. no matter what value i put in, it won't work.

Rental properties are usually treated as passive activities, and passive activities are excluded from the definition of a qualified trade or business. However, rentals that qualify as trades or businesses under IRC § 162 are not considered passive, which means they could potentially qualify for the QBI deduction.

 

Please clarify, are you a real estate professional?
