Product Upgrade Possible

I purchased the Deluxe version from OfficeMax this year, as I normally do. However, it looks like I will need to upgrade to Premier since I am earning income in my IRA with stocks and bonds and have made some exchanges of mutual funds. I have received a 1099-R form and most likely will be receiving 1099-DIV and 1099-B forms too. How do I upgrade, if needed? Can it be done online with a prior purchase of a CD? Thanks.

But you should not need to upgrade, given what activity you've reported, as desktop Deluxe supports all the same Forms, Schedules and Worksheets that all desktop versions support. As you go up the cost chain the main difference between products is the amount of detailed hand holding you get through better and more thorough interviews. If you know what you're doing, you certainly can report the activities you've listed using Deluxe. If, for some reason, you want to upgrade you simply click on "Help" > "Upgrade TurboTax" and pay the price differential between the version you have and the version you want.
