wife and I have an estate worth about 2 million in MI. Will I need my will to go through probate?

Speaking of taxes, you might be pleased to know that Michigan does not have an estate tax. So, while I can't tell you about the process of probating a will in Michigan, at least you won't have any state taxes on the estate.
