Possible 3rd Stimulus Check Issue

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question. I did not receive a 3rd stimulus check between March and May of 2021 since my wife and my combined income for 2020 was above the stimulus check threshold. But when I tell TurboTax I did not receive the stimulus, I am informed I am credited $2800 and see it tacked on in the Refund. I believe the program is basing that on our 2021 income, which is much less than 2020 since I am now retired. I am now leery to file the Turbo Tax Federal Tax. Is there an issue with TurboTax in this area? Or am I really entitled to that $2800?

Found IRS info.  See question 2 here,

If you didn't get the 3rd EIP Stimulus payment because your 2020 income was too high or it was reduced but your 2021 income is lower now, you can get it now as the Recovery Rebate Credit on 1040 line 30. The IRS just used your 2020 return to send the checks out fast. See Question 2 here,

Yes you really get it based on your 2021 income.  They just used 2020 to send the checks out fast.

Thank you for the quick answer. All I can say is Wow.

But I do remember back then there was a site to check whether or not I would receive the stimulus check, and it also told me I was not eligible. So I did not question it. And sure enough, I never received a direct deposit or a check.
