How do I open file with message: "can’t be opened because the identity of the developer cannot be confirmed"? prefs allow only apps from the App Store and id'd developers

2015 turbotax for home and Biz for MAC

Please try the following steps to resolve the issue:

1. Navigate to the Applications folder containing the TurboTax 2015 app.
2. Right-click (or Control+Click) the TurboTax 2015 app and select Open.
3. Select Open in the dialog box that appears.

It didn't work.

Still get:

“Gist.dylib” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified.

macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware.

Firefox downloaded this file yesterday at 9:27 PM from shopping.turbotax.intuit.com.

It worked when I downloaded it last night, but it doesn't now.
