Hi, if this site is monitored, please have someone reach out to me. When I pay for "DIY" tax filing vs "assisted" I expect that to mean I will not be getting tax advice, as advertised, but I was unpleasantly surprised to find that apparently also means Intuit actively screens out your phone calls so there is no way to reach customer support if there is an issue with the software itself. I have called [phone number removed] and [phone number removed] and both numbers give me a robot who will not connect me to a representative because my account doesn't show as having paid for assistance with filing; so it wishes me a nice day and disconnects the call.
All I want is to reach customer service with a tech support question as I went back into the system to complete my 95% finished return and it is completely gone, with a new interface on the home page. I'm not asking for tax filing help. I'm just looking for direction on where to find my return if it is recoverable or if your unannounced software change erased my return and I have to redo the whole thing. It is not a good experience as a customer to find myself stonewalled with zero access to customer support when there is an issue with the product itself. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

Are you asking about the Online browser version OR the Desktop installed program? And for this year 2024 or a prior year like 2023?
It's for a prior year on the desktop version. When I had worked on this return before, it saved your progress within the program and I hadn't manually saved a file yet since it wasn't quite ready to send. But it looks like they ran an update that deleted anything in progress? I just wanted to call in hopes it may have generated a file I could reload but was not expecting to have my call blocked...
