Payments for CA tax owed... how to

There should be a California Form 3582 in the forms to print. This is the form you use to send money to California for an e-filed return. If it is not included, you can go to www.ftb.gov and search for this form. Print it and mail it with your payment to the State of CA before Tuesday, 4/18/2017.

If you cannot find the form, you can write a check payable to the Franchise Tax Board, for the amount due. Follow the directions below.

Use the following address to mail the payment for an e-filed return:

WHERE TO FILE: Using black or blue ink, make your check or money order payable to the “Franchise Tax Board.” Write the taxpayer’s social security number (SSN) or individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN) and “2016 FTB 3582” on the check or money order. Detach the voucher below. Enclose, but do not staple, payment with the voucher and mail to:
FRANCHISE TAX BOARD
PO BOX 942867
SACRAMENTO CA 94267-0008
Make all checks or money orders payable in U.S. dollars and drawn against a U.S. financial institution.
