Paying for tax services

I always have any fees I'm charged taken out of my tax return, but this year its asking me for a credit card number for my state return, is this a new policy or am I just missing something?

Did you already file your federal taxes ?    And are trying to file the state now by itself?   If so then you can no longer use the Refund Processing service ... you can only use it if you are filing the fed & state together at the same time.   Good news is you have until 4/18 to file the state so when you can pay the state fee return to complete the filing.

The service you are mentioning is refund processing. As @Critter-3 said, if you have already filed your federal return, you won't be able to use refund processing to file your state return, as you can only use the refund processing service once to pay your fees.
