@laydvicious4 So are you saying that you had the 9001 code and then it updated to path without you getting a letter or having to verify anything? I have the same code but yesterday I was able to order my transcripts so Im not sure what is going in

The govt sends you. Letter to where you have to verify your identity that's the 9001 code im.still waiting on the letter its been like 8 days

@a.r_johnson  I was accepted on the 15th and I went to code 9001 then like a week later on Friday the 25 I noticed I could see my transcripts .. the next day that Saturday I updated to the path message. I didn’t receive a letter “not saying that some won’t get a letter” but I didn’t I just updated . Hope that helps or give you some comfort. I think you will update tomorrow!! Fingers crossed

Thank you for that i just spoke with a rep who stated it was a systemic error not to worry and allow 3wks. I was able to order transscripts yesterday

@a.r_johnson , did they actually look up your return? I’ve received all different answers! This last guy said a letter 5071 which corresponds to code 9001 was sent on 1.31

Right I called Monday and said a identity verification letter was sent called a few minutes ago am she said it's a systematic error and allow 21 days but everything looked fine

Who knows what to believe! All I know if my refund is stuck on 9001! No transcripts or anything

If the IRS sent out a letter on the 31st we should all have it by now I would think unless they use 3rd class postage. The Rep claims to have viewed my account she said that tons of calls came in today with the same code and that early filers were effected with this err Maybe we will jump to path within the next few days. At anyrate....time will tell

@a.r_johnson I do believe all early filers are in this same stage! The forum I follow on FB has everyone who filed between 1.4 to 1.15! Idk two reps claim a letter was mailed but they can’t tell me if it was mailed to my current filing address or my address from last years taxes, which makes no damn sense

That's how I see it I dont care if I can see the status just give me my money.and I filed the 23rd and was accepted the 24th so even if that was the case someone should've had a letter by now but no one does

@mjohnston8816 it’s all a bunch of BS! When I called he said he saw my 2018 tax filing and my deposit amount is open, meaning it’s not on hold? So if it’s not on hold why the hell do we have to verify our identity? I’ve filed through turbo tax for seven years, now granted I’m always moving, but that’s my business! Idk it’s all a bunch of ridiculousness
