Pa schedule B question

I just filed my taxes using TurboTax and have been doing so with TurboTax for a number of years.

I'm curious if I should have any concern around PA schedule b. I file for both my wife and myself. We have dividends under her name or my name or both our names.

I happen to notice on PA schedule b and I must admit it's consistent with last year that it says dividend income from line 3B of your federal return and it doesn't match my federal turn. In fact I have two PA schedule three B's both of them list my name in social security number each has different dividend income on line one which says reference 3B.

I'm not sure with the amounts tie to I'm thinking this has something to do with the fact that our dividend income is listed under both our names.

Anyway I can't exactly tie the total numbers out and it's confusing why my name is listed on each schedule b and I'm just curious if I could trust that TurboTax is doing this right or do I need to worry about this in some way shape or form.

Pa schedule B question

I would like to take a deeper look at this. However, I need a diagnostic file which is a copy of your tax return that has all of your personal information removed. You can send one to us by following the directions below:

TurboTax Online:

  1. Sign into your online account.
  2. Locate the Tax Tools on the left-hand side of the screen.
  3. A drop-down will appear. Select Tools
  4. On the pop-up screen, click on “Share my file with agent.”
  5. This will generate a message that a diagnostic file gets sanitized and transmitted to us.
  6. Please provide the Token Number that was generated in the response.

TurboTax Desktop/Download Versions:

  1. Open your return.
  2. Click the Online tab in the black bar across the top of TurboTax and select “Send Tax File to Agent” *
  3. This will generate a message that a diagnostic copy will be created.  Click on OK and the tax file will be sanitized and transmitted to us.
  4. Please provide the Token Number (including the dash) that was generated in the response.

*(If using a MAC, go to the menu at the top of the screen, select Help, then, “Send Tax File to Agent”)

Pa schedule B question

Sorry if this turns into a multiple post but I will try to do this at some point. In the meantime I'm really hoping that someone else is encountered this and might have an explanation.

Pa schedule B question

Hey I double checked everything and technically speaking the two schedule bs do tie out to the number from the federal form exactly when added together. I'm not sure why my social security number is on each schedule be however as I think I mentioned my wife and I have a joint account for our dividends and she also has an account in her own name and since I'm filing perhaps that's why?

I am thinking that perhaps everything is fine....?
