You guys say I owe you $78 because I didn't receive a federal refund. I barely even got $100 taxes back last year and you guys took a hundred and something to file like almost 200 actually. If you take $78 out of my account I swear to God I will sue you with everything I have. You people are ridiculous overpriced you're charging too much for your services and I will not be using you anymore for my taxes.

Did you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund? Is your refund taking an unusually long time to arrive? Or was your refund seized to pay a debt you owed? if so, you signed an agreement that says TT can withdraw its fees from your account. TurboTax would have sent several emails to you before they took the money out of your account.

You do not have to use TurboTax ever again if you do not want to. But you need to be aware that no matter what tax software program you choose to use in the future ---- when you choose to have the fees deducted from your federal refund there will always be a fee for that choice, and there will always be a stipulation that you have to pay your fees within an allotted amount of time whether your refund arrives or not. So avoid that situation. Pay your software fees upfront.

Your filing fee is determined by the forms you need with your return, not your expected refund, and if you don't qualify for free filing, the fees to upgrade are disclosed on screen. If you don't want to pay them, you are free to quit and use another company.

If you want to pay your fees from your refund, there is an extra fee for that, which is also disclosed on screen, and if you don't like the fee, you can pay with a credit card.

If your refund is delayed, you still owe your fees, because you paid to prepare and file a tax return, which you got. Turbotax can't guarantee when the IRS will pay your refund. You agreed that if your refund was delayed, your fees could be taken from your bank account. That was disclosed before you filed. If you didn't agree, you could have paid with a credit card or used a different service.
