I can't enter property tax on my turbotax deluxe

Try to double click on the field that shows property tax.  That should open the worksheet where you can actually enter the numbers.  Those are summed, if more than one, such as shool district and county taxes, and put the result in the correct field.

Paying a personal property tax is not always enough to claim the deduction. In addition to satisfying the IRS requirements, you must also be eligible to itemize, since this is the only way you can claim the deduction.

Personal property tax is imposed on movable things (mobile homes, RVs, vehicles, etc.) whereas real estate "property" tax is imposed on immovable assets such as houses and land.  Real estate tax is entered in a different place in the program.   Instructions for entering both types are below.
