One-time state tax return e-file is free.

I purchased INTUIT TurboTax Premier at Costco and it said that one state tax return e-file was free. However, when I e-filed two state tax returns, it charged me $15 for the first and $25 for the second. I paid both. Shouldn't it give me back the $25?

If you reply to me, I will provide you with two order numbers.

Order numbers won't be useful here in the user community forum.  Nothing account-specific can be handled here.   This is not a direct route to TurboTax Support.   However, we can tell you what you are experiencing.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure what you read that made you think that 1 state efile was free.  In the desktop software, all efiled state returns have a state efile fee except for New York state.   Your first state efile was $15 because of the $10 special discount offer in the Costco product.   The second state efile would be $25.

If you bought a TurboTax program that also has a state program, it is 1 state program that is included.  But state efiles have a fee (except no state efile fee for New York.)  Click to expand this image:
