On Form 8829 I put 290 as the room square feet and 2100 as the house square feet. Turbo Tax is saying it is greater than the 300 sq ft allowed. What can I do to fix this?

This will happen if you are trying to include two home offices on the same Schedule C business. Both cannot be entered using the simplified method. One of the home offices must use the actual expense method.

This is the case even if the reason for two home offices is that you moved during the year.
