If using a paid edition, have you paid for the state return?

Is there any error message?

Go through the REVIEW tab.  Is there any message there?

You didn't mention anything about your Federal return.   Has the Federal return already been filed?    If so, is the Federal status "pending" or "accepted?" (you can check at the Tax Home)

If you already efiled the Federal return by itself, a state return cannot be efiled until the Federal return has been accepted.

Or here's another possibility.   This time of year some states may have forms that are not yet finalized and available.   What state is it?
