Downloaded and installed 2017 Turbo, seeing 2 files to transfer information for 2016, one with a minus in front of the file for each tax return

Downloaded and installed 2017 Turbo, but in transferring information from 2016 for each tax payer, there are two files for each taxpayer.  One indicated 2016 with the name of taxpayer and another indicated " - 2016" for each taxpayer.  Never seen this before, why the 2 files?

Normally the files with the ~ in front of them are just temporary files. We noticed that in some cases, those files weren't being deleted after the program was closed. You should transfer the files without the ~ in front.
