I have been stuck in the ICU of a Hospital for the last 7 weeks and need more time to file. Can I get additional time after October 16th?

There is no second extension, but no penalty if you are due a refund

You will have to paper file after Oct 16, and use the TT Desktop software.

If you owe and are assessed any penalties, you can probably get the penalties waived for your circumstances (you may need to provide proof, and you will not be able to waive any interest that you owe).

No problem getting proof but I believe I am owed a refund so hopefully not an issue. Thanks for your answer.

IRS will waive penalties for medical reasons, or other circumstances beyond your control. By law they cannot waive interest charges.
