No option to pay underpayment tax penalty or do annualized income installment on California state tax return for 2024

I received lots of capital gain in last week of December. Due to which I owe lot of tax to California and Federal.

For Federal section, there was tab for penalty, where I put annualized income installment to reduce penalty.

For California State section, I do not see any penalty added in software or in any of the California forms. I also can not see option to add annualized income installment manually.

Does anyone has seen this issue or know how to insert annualized income installment information to reduce the penalty ?

There is an Underpayment Penalty section in the California interview; it may not appear unless TurboTax has calculated a tentative penalty for California.

In that case, you will see Underpayment Penalty listed as an item under Other Situations in the California interview. You may also see a screen prompt before you get to the end of the California items asking if you want to go over the penalty section now. Respond "yes" to "Would you like to review this topic?". If yes, you are given the choice to let the Franchise Tax Board calculate the penalty and send you a bill, or to complete the questionnaire.

See this FTB webpage for more information about California penalties.
