New ITIN applicant - File Federal paper / State e-file

Hello,

My wife has H-4 visa and this is first year tax report for her.

We used turbotax to print the federal tax return documents to apply ITIN for her.

We submitted the federal tax return a month ago and recently got her number (Not received federal return yet).

In this situation, Can I still e-file for state though turbotax once the federal tax return is approved? or should I mail to file state tax?

No you will have to mail the state return.   A state return cannot be e-filed if you filed federal by mail.
