I filed my taxes last month and paid the $400 due.
I just received a notice from the IRS (CP30) that I owe $165 penalty for underpaying quarterly estimates.
Spent 3 hours OTP with multiple IRS agents who were no help.
After some research, it seems I need to fill out 2210 to show Annualized Income to account for a $126k Traditional to Roth conversion I did in July.
I am trying to do an amend in Turbo Tax but it keeps insisting I do not owe a penalty. The IRS differs!
Any ideas? Thanks!
