Need to amend an unfiled 2020 return

I need to add a 1099-INT to my 2020 return. However TT will not let me amend my return even though it is not filed - I chose the file by mail option. Any idea how I can edit and then reprint my return?

Have you mailed it yet? If not then do not amend. Just fix it and print and mail or try to switch to efile. Why couldn't you efile originally? Click on Add a State to let you back into your return.

If you have filed and mailed it the amended return won't be ready until March 25.

Didn't efile because I owe $8k and not in any hurry to pay Uncle Sam. After I printed the return I got another 109-int in the mail, darn it. The return is still sitting on my desk unsent. I will try the "add a state" workaround that you suggested to get back into my return, thanks!
