Your W-4 that you gave your employer does not dictate how you file you tax return. If you have no dependents then you do not claim any on your actual tax return. You may have had too little withheld since you had 3 allowances on your W-4 for the year, and you will likely owe. Nothing to be fixed about that for 2017, but going forward you should change your W-4 to claim zero or only one.
