My wife left a company 2003 & didn't cash out ESPP & finally did in 2024. Sold all shares. 10099-b lists numerous acquired dates. How do your report offering Period?

The 1099-B lists over 53 dates acquired about quarterly for both long & short term as uncovered with listing a Acquired Date. Since this was an abandon account we don't have any other paperwork.

The only date that matters is the date that they were acquired.  The offering period doesn't matter because your spouse had no control over the stocks until she acquired them.  Make sure that the basis (the amount paid) is correct.
