My wife cant find her most recent License and is getting a new one. Can we used an old expired one to verify or should we wait for the new one due in two weeks

I don't know this for a fact, but I would expect using an expired license would delay your refund. I suggest you wait for the new one since you'll have it before the filing deadline.

You can use your wife's expired license for tax purposes.

The drivers license is needed to verify identity. If you reported it as lost to the state, they may flag it as lost or stolen, and then it would no longer work as ID. If you did not report it as missing, then it should still work.
