My wages on my w-2 statement seem wrong

Then you have to ask your employer about it.  What looks wrong?  Is the amount in box 1 less than you made?  There are several deductions that come out of your checks pre-tax and reduce your taxable wages in box 1.

I would call your employer and ask them about this, they will be able to take a look and tell you exactly how they arrived at this number through any deductions they may have made. If there was an error, they will also be able to issue you a corrected W-2 so that you can continue filing your taxes with the correct information.
