My tax return was rejected with error SA-F1040-027. But it didn't let me fix until Feb 18 because of some processing error. Can someone advise?

Description of error:
Schedule A (Form 1040), 'Total Charitable Contri Amt' must be equal to the sum of the following: 'Gifts By Cash Or Check Amt' and 'Other Than By Cash Or Check Amt' and 'Carryover From Prior Year Amt'.
 
What needs to be done:
This return cannot be electronically filed at this time due to a processing error that will be corrected on February 18, 2022. On or after February 18, 2022 open the rejected return, review it for errors, and resubmit the return for electronic filing. If you do not want to wait until the specified date, you will need to print and file this return by mail.

Yes. This means exactly the way you outlined it in your post.. When 02/18 occurs,  follow the directions that you listed above to fix and resubmit your return.
