That's fine. Alphanumeric mean letters and/or numbers only....no special characters.
Turbo Tax says Vermont Span must be alphanumeric when in actuality it is numeric with hyphens but Turbo tax will not allow hyphens and keeps rejecting my entry which is correct and exactly off my property tax document. This is an error with Turbo Tax coding. The Vermont SPAN is written like this: [phone number removed]0 Number of digits like this: 3-3-5.

I have the exact same issue, My span # is all numeric and it is preventing me from filing
I figured it out with help from the help line.. it was the address on the screen that did not match my tax bill exactly , I spelled out Street and it was expecting St
