Why are you trying to add a roommate to your return, are you doing it to claim her as a dependent?

You only add a spouse, children or dependents to a tax return but let me know what you're trying to do and I'll try to provide more information.

There would be no reason for you to put a roommate on your taxes unless you are supporting them as a dependent?
