My adopted son's name was changed. I used the new name that does not match the IRS's records. I need to change back and resubmit.

Yes, you are correct, in order to e-file your return, you will need to change your son's name back an resubmit your return.

To do so in TurboTax online:

Log into your Turbo Tax Online account.
Select "Take me to my return"
Click "My Info" located on the left side of your screen
Click "Edit" next to your Son's Name and make the correction
Next, walk through the "File" process to resubmit your return
