My refund was rejected

my refund was rejected for the federal and state. I have got an IRS letter that I owe $9,400. and one is helping in turbo tax. I need to know should I get my lawyer involved in this matter? I called the IRS they said I need to pay this amount because turbo tax did mistake not putting my wages and I prove that I did when I printed the Taxes paper for 2017.
