My Property ID/parcel number is correctly entered, but is not being recognized by the system. I have already filed.

I entered my Property ID/Parcel ID on my certificate of rent paid on my state return, but the system rejects the number. There are no dashes, spaces or special characters, and the numbers are in order. I would have deleted my state files so I could re-enter it, but I have already registered/paid the $0 fees.

I am still on Temporary License until my drivers permit comes in the mail, so I'm going to wait to receive my license next month, but I think the Parcel ID is a separate issue.

Which state? Check your state's income tax instructions for the format they require. Some, for example, may need leading zeroes.

This is for the state of Minnesota. How could I find out about those preceding numbers?

Can you let us know which version of Turbo Tax you are using, as well as if you are using the online or desktop version and getting the error? @jks66

Yes it would be best to print and file by mail, since the system is prompting that as the next option. @jks66

For state of MN

I was directed by a tax professional to enter the letter R in front of the series of numbers

Example- R101010101000

My Property ID/parcel number is correctly entered, but is not being recognized by the system. I have already filed.

This seemed to work for now. I will cross my fingers I don't get an email tomorrow indicating it did not go through. Thanks!
