My laptop crashed and had to install new software I lost everything how do I get all my turbo tax records back including 2024 return?

The tag below your question says you are using TurboTax Online. If that is correct, your tax return is saved on TurboTax's servers, not on your laptop. You can sign in to your TurboTax Online account and all of your information will still be there.

If you used the desktop TurboTax software your tax return was saved on the computer that you used, and any backup copies that you made. TurboTax does not have a copy of it. It's not clear exactly what "crashed" and whether you are still able to access files that were on the laptop. Your 2024 tax return and all related information is in a file with the file name extension .tax2024. By default it would be in the TurboTax folder.
