Well you cannot combine them so if you file separate returns you can just use the accounts you already have. If you want to file a joint return then you must choose one of the accounts to use (usually the one that is more complicated to transfer in the prior year info)... then make sure you keep the taxpayer positions the same... switching places can confuse the IRS. Or you can start a completely new account with a new user ID.
