If you are using TurboTax Online, can you try to clear your cache and cookies? Maybe try a different browser. It sounds like you have exhausted all other efforts to correct the date, so if my suggestion doesn't work, you may have to print, sign, and mail your return.
I had the same issue on TurboTax Deluxe Mac, so I guess this will be a different issue.
This error code is an IRS issue rather than a software issue. If you are getting the same error code as the other user got last year (1040-526), see the IRS explanation on this webpage:
Solution
Make sure you enter the correct birth date, in the correct format, in the correct space.
The IRS receives Date of Birth (DOB) information from the Social Security Administration (SSA). Updates occur regularly.
Please call the SSA at 800-772-1213 to determine the correct DOB.
If their records match the DOB you have entered, you will have to determine whether you want to wait for the update to occur and transmit again or mail in your return.
Make the correction(s) and resubmit.
If you are making a payment, you may have to re-date Step 3, Payment Options.
