My dependent has a separate ACA plan and separate 1095-C what do I do?

So in 2023 my daughter filed her own tax as an independent and she has her own ACA 1095-C.  in 2024, I plan to claim her as a dependent (I was supporting her through out the year), but she still had her own ACA plan with her own 1095-C.

Can I combine our 1095-C when I file 2024 income tax?  If so, how?

Thanks!

Wait----if she had marketplace health insurance she would have a 1095A----not a 1095C.   So....which does she have?   A 1095C is not entered on a tax return.   Only a 1095A for marketplace health insurance is entered.

If she has a separate ACA plan and her own 1095-A you can't claim her as a dependent for this year.  She committed to filing her own tax return when she signed up for the ACA.  You'll have to let her file her own return for this year.

For 2025 you can claim her on the ACA and still have her file a separate tax return at the end of the year.
