My college student tax file is asking for input of parent's income (Form 540). If I am filing married joint with my wife, should that input be both our incomes combined?

My college student tax file is asking for input of parent's income (Form 540). If I am filing married joint with my wife, should that input be both our incomes combined? The Turboxtax question is vague with the singular word parent.

Yes, this should be total income from your 540. This question is likely related for Form 3800 which is calculating tax on a child's unearned income. As with the federal Kiddie Tax, this tax is calculated at the parent's rate.
