My adult son age 30 is out of the country attending college in Italy for two years. He has no income. Can I claim him as a dependent?

You can claim him if you paid for more than 50% of his support and he did not earn more than $5050 in 2024? A child does not have to live with you for more than half the year for you to claim them. See this TurboTax FAQ
