MSI install exception occurred. MSI Error code 1334. TT Basic 18 is installed but can't save any activity?

    What error are you getting when you try to save? "File not found" maybe?

    "Trouble saving file to this location. Try unplugging device or choose diff. device or harddrive. Error code 1334.  TTis installed on C: drive of desk top

    Where are you trying to save it to? The default location of the Documents/TurboTax directory? If so, can you save it to your desktop? This won't be permanent. But just test it to see if you can save to any location other than the default location of the documents/turbotax directory.

    using TT built-in file save command which should be taking it to Documents/TT folder on C drive. get same error when closing TT

    can't save to desktop using TT file "save as" feature.   error msg says File not found

    Thanks Carl. Problem fixed.  Issue was controlled folder feature in Windows Security

    Please clarify - are you encountering a problem with using TurboTax files from this year (2020) or a prior year?

    can I now use my downloaded turbo tax files?
