Tax Year 2020 - Money owed not debited.

I owed money to the IRS and entered my bank account information into TurboTax. It's been over 2 weeks and the money was not debited from my checking account. The IRS also has no record. Is there anyway to see that TurboTax passed my information along to the IRS? I don't want to make another payment without some confirmation that it didn't go through or fear that it will be duplicative.

It depends. You should have a copy of it, if you printed your return. You can call the IRS 1-800-829-1040 or IRS website and log in to your account. The IRS auto debit default date for tax payment is 4/15/2021. Just make sure your have enough funds in your checking account to cover the scheduled payment.

The IRS has no record of the debit It is printed on my cover page of my return and the money has not been withdrawn yet. Any help? TurboTaxs customer service is of no assistance

When will my tax payment go through? They are behind, but it will go through. As long as you have it on your cover sheet, you should be fine - it is not due until 05/17.
