I began and saved a return for 2022 using TT Home and Business on an iMac. I have a file-name and even a PDF of the partially completed and saved file, but when I try to resume it, Turbotax neither locates the file in its database not recognizes the PDF I created USING Turbotax (it's greyed out in the "Open Recent" selection box). How do I avoid having to start all over again, and possibly even run into the same problem again with the a new file?

Your response was dead-on, Volvo Girl. The ".tax2022" file had saved to a subfolder inside the one with the PDF. I have it now. Thanks!
No you can't open a pdf file in the program. You need the data file ending in .tax2022. If you go up to the top Apple bar - FILE - OPEN it doesn't find your return?
