I am trying to file online; however, my return gets rejected saying I need an IP PIN number. I never got a letter. I tried to go online (several times) to get an account setup to access it but each time my account gets locked for "security reasons." So, I try calling them...and each time I get a recording saying "They are extremely busy and to call back." After calling several times at different times of the day and getting the same recording, I am now at a loss what to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

To verify your identity for e-filing will use last year's adjusted gross income (AGI) as your PIN.
If you do not have a copy of your 2018 tax return you can get one from TurboTax it will have your AGI. Follow thee steps to get a copy of your prior-year tax return.
Sign in to TurboTax making sure you're using the same TurboTax account (with the same username) as in prior years.
Select Documents from the navigation when it appears.
Use the drop-down menu at the top of the screen to choose the tax year you want and then select Download PDF.
I tried using my AGI from my 2018 tax return and it still rejected.

If your tax return continues to be rejected with the 2018 AGI then enter a 0 (zero) for the AGI and e-file again.
If this is also rejected then you will have to print and mail the tax return.

I never ask for a pin I keep geeting rejected im mad
An IP PIN (6 digits, very restricted) is different from the e-filing PIN (5 digits, can substitute your AGI). @lolbella which kind of PIN are you having a problem with?
@Anonymous has your situation been resolved? It appears the previous responses were directed at the 5 digit e-file PIN problem and not the 6 digit IP PIN problem.
Please sent the pin

Only the IRS provides a 6 digit IP PIN. If you reported an Identity Theft to the IRS then you would have received an IP PIN from the IRS in the mail in either December or January.
Go to this IRS website for IP PIN information - https://www.irs.gov/identity-theft-fraud-scams/retrieve-your-ip-pin
I lost it

A 6 digit IP PIN (Identity Protection PIN) is only issued by the IRS after you have reported an Identity Theft using IRS Form 14039. If this is the IP PIN you are referring to the IRS sends you the PIN in the mail each December or January.
If you cannot get the IP PIN then you will have to print and mail your tax return.
