MFS on MD State Return

Thank you for additional detail. I am a little bit confused. I am tracking that I should be filing MD taxes as a resident and my wife should be filing NJ taxes as a resident. If we are filing MFJ then our both MD filling is resident and NJ non-resident. Is that correct?
