Help, I am receiving a message that I will get a W2c because I deferred my SS taxes last year.  I DID NOT do that.

How can I correct this error that is not my fault?

If you would like to defer self-employment taxes, then you need to enter the proportion of income from March27-December31 according to the instructions. If you don't want to defer, then you need to leave that line blank - Do Not enter zero.

Thank you for the reply DavidD66.  But apparently I am not understanding this issue at all.  You replied with:

"If you would like to defer self-employment taxes, then you need to enter the proportion of income from March27-December31 according to the instructions. If you don't want to defer, then you need to leave that line blank - Do Not enter zero."

First, I DON'T want to defer any taxes, nor have I EVER deferred them. I do not know where these instructions are you mention. I understand the comment about leaving the line blank, but I have no idea where that is/was.  I can't seem to "find" it now.

Can you tell me under what category or section that is in please?

    Regards,
