Massachusetts sent me a 1095-A for my health insurance. I am listed as a dependent on my mother's tax return due to unemployment because of cancer treatments.

My state return wants the 1095-A info, but my mother is required to enter it on hers.  Can I still file?

As a dependent, you should not need to send in the 1095-A with your return. Your mother will need to show proof of insurances since she is claiming you.

If for some reason, it is requiring you to show proof, are you mailing in your return?

If you are mailing in your return, you can simply make a copy of her 1095-A to include with your return.

If you are e-filing, you will just need to enter your mothers 1095-A on your return in the section where it is asking for health insurance information.
