I am married, but separated.  Is it better to file married but separate or Head of household?

Were you separated for at least the last six months of 2024?   Are you the custodial parent of the children?

Head of Household is better if you qualify. @Smithcel

If you qualify for Head of Household, there may be better tax benefits.   See Guide to Filing Taxes as Head of Household - TurboTax - Intuit.
