Married, filing jointly, now turbotax claims we are in different tax jurisdictions.

Yes, I checked the Personal Info....all is correct.   My wife is not checked as a dependent.   Turbtax give no indication where it gets the false information for me to fix it.

  • A taxing jurisdiction can be the State, the county, the city or even a foreign account it can be any taxing authority.
  • The term "taxing jurisdiction" means “any of the several States, the District of Columbia, or any territory or possession of the United States, any municipality, city, county, township, parish, transportation district, or assessment jurisdiction, or any other political subdivision within the territorial limits.
