I have guardianship of my grandchild and plan to claim her on my taxes but I don’t have access to her marketplace info or forms under her parent.. What do I do.

If you have guardianship of your grandchild and plan to claim her as a dependent on your taxes but don't have access to her Marketplace information or forms, here are the steps you can take:

1. Request Form 1095-A: If your grandchild had Marketplace coverage, you'll need Form 1095-A. You can:
   • Ask her parent for a copy.
   • Contact the Health Insurance Marketplace (scroll to bottom for phone#) directly if you have legal guardianship
2. Premium Tax Credit Implications: If her parent received the Premium Tax Credit, there might be additional tax implications. Coordination with her parent is necessary to ensure accurate reporting.
