Making payments for what I owe

I owe taxes this year. I filed with turbo tax and put in all my info to make payments each month. I put in an amount that I would pay now. Is that what the voucher is that it keeps asking me to print?  Am I supposed to mail that to the IRS along with what I stated my initial payment would be or will that payment be directly deducted from my checking account?

Yes, that is what the voucher is intended to be used for - paying the amount that you indicated you would like to pay now.  While you don't need to use the voucher - you can pay directly online using the link below instead - the IRS will expect that amount to have been paid before your installment agreement payments begin.
